The client had a requirement of creating 500 furniture models with 10-15 variations in each model, which counts to 4500 models. They found it very difficult to pursue it in-house and hence was looking for an outsourcing partner to rely on. BOP solved their problem with the custom process designed to meet their requirements.
Furniture Modeling Support from BOP
The client demanded two trials, one on modeling, one o texturing. The client was happy with the output during the trial and shared the furniture dimensions and texture in the form of photographs, along with the material details. A team of eight engineers started working on the project. We did the black and white modeling and texturing and replicated the same in all the model variations deploying the four software – SketchUp, V-Ray, 3ds MAX, OBJ. In the end, we shared the four files for each model, counting to 4500 models with the client while meeting all requirements from the client.
In the initial phase, the tight deadline was challenging. Additionally, the exact color and texture were difficult to understand from the different picture formats shared by the client. However, with rounds of detailed discussion, the doubts were cleared, and we were able to overcome then challenges.
